6th July 2009: Masher, an intuitive service that allows users to create online videos by 'mashing' together different content and then share them with friends, has today announced the launch of its new version of Masher.com www.masher.com
The refresh of Masher.com most importantly includes a new and faster studio, which is a flash application that allows people to mix and mash videos, photos, music and special effects together to easily create a video mashup.
James Clifton, COO of Masher says:
"Masher is at the bleeding edge of video creation online so we know we have to constantly innovate and enhance the service. We're really excited about this release, as it incorporates lots of new features we've been working on, especially the new mashing studio. We're humbled by all the great feedback we've had from our users, and we know with their continued support and enthusiasm we'll make Masher the best it can be."
As well as the new studio, a number of enhancements have been made to the Masher.com site including an improved design; an enhanced content library with thousands more video clips from BBC Motion Gallery and music tracks from Audio Network; better ways for people to manage their photos and videos; and easier ways for people to share their Mashes with their friends and family.
About Masher
Masher is a web-based application that allows users to create a video in minutes by 'mashing' together different videos, photos, music, and digital effects. Users can then share their video mash instantly with their friends by publishing it straight to social network sites such as Facebook and MySpace or by emailing them. Masher was originally developed by BBC Motion Gallery, the video archive sales operation from BBC Worldwide, and was acquired in July 2008 by a consortium of private investors. Users have free access to a collection of generic clips from the BBC archive and other sponsors.
